angela,
Please make sure you have subscribed one of CM's data packages. Say, mine is 60MB/mon by 20RMB. 'coz MMS sending and receiving cost traffic, which is not enabled by default. Call 10086 for more details.

Good luck.

By the way, the failure notice says I don't have an active Gprs/Edge/3G or my APN settings is incorrect.

i'm pretty sure SwirlyMMS should be working with cmwap as long as you use China Mobile.

perhaps you may give your local mobile service provider a call for more details on how to send MMS in the mobile phone.

Not sure about the network difference between sh and bj. I suggest you to take more tries after you manually turn wifi off.

i guess SwirlyMMS would turn it off each time it launches. However, since it's still in beta, manually turning wifi off will be the best bet.

However, as i mentioned in the post, there ARE some things really confused me. I did check the global APN settings immediately the moment i sent the MMS out. Guess what? it's cmwap. Then i launched safari. and I could read news by Google Reader. Well, you know that's not supposed to happen since cmwap only allows Wap-based.

I'll take more tries, too, to find out the repro steps by which we can send the MMS out as expected later.

Hi,

I tried exactly setting on my 1.0.2(downgraded from 1.1.1) iphone, it doesn't work...

I am wondering if there is any difference between the Mobile network in Beijing and Shanghai?

It kept saying 'EDGE is not available'. But if I change the APN to cmnet, MMS was trying to send the pic out. However after minutes waiting, it failed in the end.

So annoyed... :S
